Also available in a Spanish Language edition from NubeOcho, “The Magic Box” by author/illustrator Maria Jose Ballesteros is a picture book delight and unreservedly recommended for family, daycare center, preschool, elementary school, and community library picture book collections for children ages 3-6.
The characters themselves are presented as Margarita who has two dads, and the twins Daniel and Charlie who have two moms. Although this was not the main storyline, it was great to see diverse types of families and the love that the children share with their parents and each other.
