This is not a potty-training book, as I first anticipated, but would work well for slightly older children who need to understand more about bathroom etiquette.
We really enjoyed the timely book, about friends at a party, using the bathroom while being respectful of others and ourselves.
Pee and Poo: The Do’s and Don’ts to Avoid Mishaps is perfect for potty trained kids who need some reminders of bathroom etiquette. It’s like the next level of potty training instruction!
I highly recommend this book for parents, schools, and libraries. This was a cute and informative picture book, with enough realistic scenarios and longer text for children with more stamina and experience using the bathroom.
Oh, no! When out and about, how does one handle going to the bathroom? Susanna Ihern and Mar Ferrero reveal what happens at Koala’s birthday party when friends need to go! Lots of great tips from a wise snail to prevent mishaps: go to the bathroom BEFORE heading out, don’t wait too long — no matter how much fun you’re having, be sure to flush, always wash your hands, don’t keep others waiting by staying the bathroom too long, and plenty more helpful hints. All the advice is recapped at the very end of this picture book. Perfect for toddlers and even preschool children.
There’s plenty to love here, and little children will learn how to negotiate the etiquette of bathroom use in a fun and entertaining way. The topic is sure to get their attention. This would be good for family reading as well as preschool and early school-age story time. Highly recommended.
It’s easy to forget that toilet training is a process that doesn’t end when a child is out of diapers; there are plenty of mishaps that occur even when kids are in the early elementary school. Just ask any kindergarten teacher! Pee and Poo is a great book to remind readers of some of the tips and tricks that will ensure dry pants and happy days long after they have forgotten diapers.
