Simona Mulazzani lives and works in Pesaro (Italy). She was born in Milan and since 1994 she has published hundreds of books both in Italy and abroad, being translated into French, Spanish, Korean, German, Portuguese, English, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Arabic and many more.

In both 2005 and 2013 she won the Silver Medal in The Original Art awarded by the Society of Illustration of New York, and in 2007, one of her books was selected as a White Ravens; she also won the Città di Cento Prize. The following year she was awarded the Andersen prize in the 0 to 6 years old category, winning it again in 2016.

Since 1992 her work has been exhibited in art galleries, art fairs and public spaces, as a parallel work to her picture book illustrations.
