Jenni Desmond is an award-winning picture book maker.

She is the illustrator or author/illustrator of many books including The Blue Whale, Albert’s Tree and On The Night Of The Shooting Star and has been translated into over 20 languages since her first book Red Cat Blue Cat, 2012. In 2015 Jenni won Best Emerging Talent (Illustrator) at the Junior Design Awards. In 2016 she was made a Maurice Sendak Fellow and she won a prestigious ‘New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book’ for The Polar Bear.
