Canizales is a Colombian author and illustrator based in Spain. His works have been included in exhibitions such as “The best children’s books” and “Books out of the ordinary” both organized by the International Children’s Book Fair in Bologna. His books have been published in more than 20 languages ​​by publishers such as Templar, Planeta, Penguin Random House, Scholastic, National geographic, among others. He has received multiple awards, including  the Apel.les Mestres award, the Boolino award, the Enric Solbes award in Spain and the Cuatrogatos in USA.

His books are fun and full of endearing characters while,at the same time, dealing with meaningful themes such as respect and tolerance. He has written and illustrated a wide range of children’s books from board books to picture books and graphic novels.
