Benedetta Sala is a designer and illustrator based in Como, Italy. After graduating in Communication Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan, she worked as an Art Director in Switzerland.

She completed the Ars in Fabula Masters in editorial illustration in 2016, and soon after began collaborating with several publishers. Together with writer Roberta Antonioni, she received the Rodari Prize for the book La casa perfetta in 2022, later translated and distributed in South Korea, Germany, Spain, Brazil, and China.

She loves drawing animals, illustrating stories with an ironic twist, and sketching recipes for dishes she will never quite learn to cook.
